For the second coat, half the product of the first is plenty.

Excess: if there's product pooling on the tyre surface after application, wipe it off with a clean cloth before you move the car. Excess tyre dressing gets flung onto the bodywork the moment you pull away – the phenomenon known as 'sling', and one of the most common headaches in tyre care.
