COLOURLOCK "Leather Fresh" (Volvo)

COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh for Volvo: nourishing color cream for factory-original refreshing

What is COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh for Volvo? — The water-based leather care color combines nourishment and light color refreshing — ideal for regularly used Volvo leather interiors without extensive preparation.

COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh (Volvo) is a pigmented leather care color that nourishes and simultaneously compensates for minor color loss in one step. The care color is based on original Volvo color samples and is formulated to blend harmoniously into existing surfaces. Perfect for regular care of pigmented smooth leather without the effort of a complete repair.

Care & color in one – Saves a step — nourishes and refreshes at the same time.
Original Volvo color shades – Factory-accurate color samples for seamless transitions.
Quick and easy – No sanding, no top coat strictly necessary.

💡 Detailing1 Workshop Practical Tip: We use Leather Fresh in our workshop as standard care for every detailing job — even if the leather still looks okay. 100ml is enough for a complete pair of seats including the steering wheel. Evenly moisten a microfiber pad, work it in with circular movements, then buff with a second pad. Looks like new after 5 minutes.

Care Routine in 15 Minutes per Pair of Seats

Leather Fresh (Volvo) is applied as a care routine every 6–12 months — work in with a microfiber pad, buff with a second pad, done. One application takes about 15–20 minutes per pair of seats.

Before application, the leather is cleaned with leather cleaner and wiped damp. After a short drying period, a microfiber pad is moistened with about 3–5 ml of Leather Fresh (Volvo) and worked evenly into the leather surface with circular movements. Immediately buff with a second dry microfiber pad until the typical matt-velvety OEM sheen appears.

The water-based care color penetrates the uppermost pigment layer and simultaneously seals the fiber. Unlike professional Leather Colour (Volvo) repair, neither filler nor sanding or top coat are strictly necessary. For heavily used areas such as seat bolsters or the steering wheel, Top Coat can be additionally applied, which extends the durability to 18–24 months. A 100ml bottle is sufficient for approximately 2–3 complete care applications.

Care Yes, Repair of Deep Damage No

Leather Fresh (Volvo) is the care variant for minor cosmetic flaws — faded sheen, dull spots, superficial color loss. Deep abrasion or tears require the repair stage.

The care color is formulated to penetrate and refresh the intact pigment layer. However, if the layer is worn through or there are cracks, Leather Fresh cannot cover the damaged area — the fiber becomes visible there and absorbs the color unevenly. Suede, velour leather, and Alcantara are cared for with Nubuk Fresh (Volvo), as their rough fiber structure requires a different carrier solution.

If the leather only appears faded or dull, Leather Fresh is the fastest and most affordable solution — about 4–5 Euros per care application. If, on the other hand, there are deep abrasion marks or tears, Leather Colour (Volvo) with filler and top coat is used. Both products are based on the same original Volvo color samples and can be combined.

For Regular Care Without Workshop Tools

Leather Fresh (Volvo) is the care solution for private customers, frequent drivers, and leaseholders who want to regularly refresh their Volvo leather — without sanding, filler, or workshop tools.

The simple application in 15 minutes per pair of seats makes Leather Fresh a standard care for every interior detailing. Anyone who cares for their Volvo vehicle two to three times a year will keep the leather looking new indefinitely and prevent the typical abrasion marks on seat bolsters and the steering wheel. A 1-liter bottle is sufficient for approximately 30–50 complete care treatments for a mid-range vehicle.

For heavily worn seats with visible abrasion or for complete detailing before sale, use Leather Colour (Volvo) or the Leather Care Set (Volvo) with all components. However, those who want to regularly care for rather than restore can manage with the 100ml bottle or the 1-liter container of Leather Fresh.

What is COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh for Volvo?

COLOURLOCK Leather Fresh (Volvo) is a pigmented leather care dye in original Volvo shades. It nourishes the leather, refreshes minor color loss, and seals the fibers — all in one step.

How often should I apply Leather Fresh?

As a care routine, we recommend Leather Fresh (Volvo) every 6–12 months. For heavily used vehicles (frequent drivers, lease returns), also every 3–6 months. One application takes approx. 15–20 minutes per pair of seats.

What is the difference to Leather Colour?

Leather Fresh is the simple care variant — no sanding, no Top Coat mandatory. Leather Colour (Volvo) is the professional repair with filler, sanding, and Top Coat sealing. For visible damage → Leather Colour; for dull/slightly faded surfaces → Leather Fresh.

Do I absolutely need a Top Coat?

No, not absolutely. Leather Fresh has its own sealing function. However, for heavily used areas (seat bolsters, steering wheel), Top Coat Dull or Glossy is worthwhile in addition for maximum abrasion resistance.

What are the most common mistakes we see?

Two classics: (1) Leather not cleaned beforehand — care absorbs unevenly. (2) Too thick a layer applied — feels sticky and remains greasy. Better 2 thin layers than 1 thick.

Does Leather Fresh also work on natural leather?

No, Leather Fresh is only suitable for pigmented smooth leather (standard in the automotive sector). For natural leather, aniline leather, or suede, there are separate COLOURLOCK product lines.

Care instructions for leather dye (Volvo):

Leather Fresh (Volvo) is the care option for minor cosmetic flaws - faded shine, dull areas, superficial color loss. Deep abrasion or cracks require the repair stage.

The care dye is formulated to penetrate the intact pigment layer and refresh it. However, if the layer is worn through or there are cracks, Leather Fresh cannot cover the damaged area - the fiber becomes visible there and absorbs the color unevenly. Suede, nubuck, and Alcantara are cared for with Nubuk Fresh (Volvo), as their rough fiber structure requires a different carrier solution.

If the leather only appears faded or dull, Leather Fresh is the fastest and most affordable solution - about 4-5 euros per application. If, on the other hand, there are deep abrasion marks or cracks, Leather Colour (Volvo) with filler and top coat is used. Both products are based on the same original Volvo color samples and can be combined.
