Koch-Chemie Marine Protective Sealant Sm0.01 – spray sealant for boats

The Koch-Chemie Marine Protective Sealant Sm0.01 is a premium spray sealant from Koch-Chemie's Marine line, built specifically to protect and care for gelcoat and boat-paint surfaces. The 100% clear formula leaves a silky, even finish with deep colour and serious water beading. Made for saltwater, it keeps fresh dirt and weathering at bay — including UV yellowing — for up to half a season, depending on use, care and the conditions you run in.

  • Easy to apply: goes on fast with the spray head — no need to let it flash off.

  • Versatile protection: works on gelcoats and boat paints of every colour; dialled in for saltwater.

  • Compatibility: ideal as a topper over the Ceramic Boat Hull and plays well with every Koch-Chemie Marine product.

Application and finish

Using the Marine Protective Sealant Sm0.01 is dead simple: once the surface is clean and polished where needed, you spray the product onto a suitable cloth and lay it down evenly in crosshatch passes. Then you buff the area off with a clean microfibre. The result is a high-gloss, silky surface with deep colour and strong water beading. The sealant keeps the treated areas well protected against fresh dirt and the weather.

Protection time and care

The product protects for up to half a season, depending on use, care and the conditions you run in. To get the most out of it, wash the boat regularly with a pH-neutral shampoo. You can re-apply the sealant whenever you want to top the protection back up.

Compatibility and companion products

The Marine Protective Sealant Sm0.01 works with every product in the Koch-Chemie Marine line. It makes a great topper over the Ceramic Boat Hull to push protection and gloss to the max. To prep the surface beforehand, reach for a Hull PreCleaner and a gelcoat polish so the sealant grabs properly and works as it should.
